The latest issue of Famitsu Weekly has confirmed that the latest entry into Sega's popular Yakuza series will be hitting shelves in Japan on February 26, 2009.  Yakuza 3 will debut at a price of 7980 yen.

A prequel to the series,Yakuza Kenzan!, was released earlier this year in Japan and was an instant blockbuster, selling over a quarter million copies.  With both Sega's Yakuza 3 and From Software's Demon's Soul hitting Japanese shelves in the same month, the PlayStation 3 is set to start with a bang in 2009.
