Sony has launched a new web portal for its long-awaited PS3 social networking service Home, adding weight to the claims that the service should arrive before the end of the year.
The site describes PlayStation Home as: "3D social gaming community that allows PlayStation 3 users to meet, chat, plan, and launch into games together. You can create your own custom avatar, decorate your personal apartment, play mini-games, shop, watch videos, attend special events, and much more."
It also gives details on three mini-games to be featured on the service, including Uncharted Space, Bowling Alley and Far Cry 2 Space.
Last week Sony updated its Home Beta version to 1.0, the same version that will eventually be turned into an open beta that any PS3 owner will be able to participate in.
