Sony to Support Stereoscopic 3D for PS3
Posted on December 18, 2008 by Nikhil

You may remember that PCN reported about Blitz Games’ new stereoscopic glasses for consoles a few weeks ago (f you didn’t see it, click here to view the details on them). Well, it has now been confirmed that Sony will indeed support this technology for the PS3.

In addition to announcing this partnership with Sony, Blitz Games also revealed that the PS3 may be the only console going 3D. A bios update is required to display stereoscopic 3D, and the Xbox360 may not be able to perform this update.

There is no word yet on when the PS3 will receive this update, or what games will support it. Remember that in order to enjoy this upcoming feature, you will require a special set of glasses (usually in the range of 50-60 dollars).
