It was announced months ago that Metal Gear Solid(and other huge Sony franchises) themed DLC would be hitting Little Big Planet.  What no one expected, however, was how in depth these DLC packages would be.

The MGS DLC will not only contain stickers and sack characters based on Kojima's ever popular franchise, but a paintball gun will also be included.  This adds a whole new level of depth for the title, allowing players to not only recreate their favorite Metal Gear moments, but also create side scrolling shooters as well.  The gun works similarly to the jet pack, its an item that can be picked up and put down on the players whim.  A Contra remake in LBP is just one step closer to a reality now - assuming MM doesn't take it down right after its published!

This begs the question - what else does Media Molecule have planned?  Could we see melee weapons with the upcomming Final Fantasy DLC?
