Sony has confirmed a slight delay for the highly anticipated racer MotorStorm.
Sony’s official website revealed an interesting tidbit of information in regards to the upcoming racer MotorStorm. The information is that it has been removed from the February release calendar. The game was originally advertised to launch on February 26th but has since been bumped from that date.
The listing for MotorStorm now is for a “spring” release though the actual retail launch date of the game is not known.
IGN.com followed up the news story and posted on it on their web site in regards to Sony’s response to the questioning about the launch date of the game. In their response to IGN they stated that, "The team is doing some additional fine tuning and getting the online features squared away so they are taking a bit more time," said the Sony representative. "It’ll come out in March, though we make the specific date public yet."
So from that information it seems that the game is being delayed but only until March which is a minor delay considering that it was supposed to come out at the very end of February originally anyways.
We will have to wait and see if this holds true and if the game actually does hsip in that timeframe and only time will tell. If it was that close to launching then a delay that small may have not even been necessary.
What could happen though is a delay to put the game out day and date with the launch of the console in the European region as it is likely that Sony wants the game to try and take some strain off of Resistance as the game to own on launch day for the PlayStation 3.
