As almost every Killzone 2 fanatic already knows, Gamestop will be handing out codes to access the Killzone 2 beta exclusively to all pre-order customers. The deal is going on this week and most Gamestop locations expect to see the codes arrive as early as tomorrow, but the question remains. How exclusive is this demo?

Our friends at Joystiq contacted SCEA and they were told the demo is completely exclusive until after the game is released. Which means that anyone wanting to get their hands on Killzone 2 before release will indeed need to pre-order at Gamestop. For those that don’t mind waiting, the demo will be released through the PSN Store the week the game launches for everyone to get their grubby little paws on.

In other news, another rumor is floating about the internet thanks to the demo case found in retailers stores. If you pick up the “for show only” case and look at the back you will notice the words “add on content” in the upper right hand corner. We are assuming this means downloadable content including maps and characters but the official word is still in the Sony HQ somewhere and we know as much as you do.
