Remember back in 2005 when Guerrila Games first unveiled Killzone 2? The remarkable state it was in impressed everybody and made competing console makers extremely jealous, if not scared. The only problem with this video was how it was pre rendered and not in real time. Of course with the latest beta and gameplay videos we can see the game has actually lived up to that expectation but left many fans wondering, will we see cutscenes that are pre-rendered to that 2005 quality?
Answer is surprisingly no. GG has absolutely no pre-rendered CGI videos in Killzone 2 at all in any shape or form. Instead they used actual gameplay to create these scenes and have them all running in real time just to prove the level of detail is so remarkable. GG also noted over at talkplaystation.com that some videos are pre-recorded gameplay but are still all real time. With the extraordinary visuals Killzone 2 has to offer I don't see a problem with this idea at all, kinda reminds me of Metal Gear Solid 4 and look how successful that game was for PS3.
