Savy Resident Evil 5 fans may have already picked up the demo of the title off the Japanese PSN store last night, but for the rest, the Capcom has confirmed via the PSBlog that the demo will hit the American PSN stores sometime today. This is the same demo released last week on the XBox Live Marketplace.
The demo features 2 stages from the retail game, fully playable in single player mode or either online or offline co-operative play. The first level pits Chris and Sheva in a race against time to survive as the fend off infected Majinis while waiting for air support. The second stage is a more traditional level that shows off some of the more interesting scenarios brought to the series by the introduction of co-operative play. Both stages feature some intense boss characters as well, including a familiar chiansaw wielding enemy and an axe-touting executioner.
Resident Evil 5 is the latest entry into Capcom's popular survival action franchise. The highly anticipated title is due out March 13, for the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. |
