New God of War III trailer hits the 'net

Earlier today, Sony released an extended version of the trailer shown at Spike's Video Game Award show late last year. The trailer was the same one shown at the exclusive God of War press event earlier in the month. The new trailer shows shows Kratos slaughtering dozens of undead minions, along with a massive cyclops. This happens all while on the back of the titans, scaling up Mount Olympus, as seen in the second title.

Further, the trailer was confirmed to have been 100% real gameplay, but with quick-time event buttons and other HUD elements removed to create a more cinematic effect for the trailer

God of War III is an action adventure game developed by Sony's Santa Monica studio. The highly anticipated title has been tenatively penciled in for a 2009 release, with a definitive release date scheduled to be announced at E3 2009.
