The 12th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards were held last night, and LittleBigPlanet was a force to be reckoned with. Nominated for 10 different awards, Sony's little franchise that could swept the competition, winning 8 awards, including Overall Game of the Year. LittleBigPlanet also won awards for outstanding achievement in character performance, art direction, game direction, and innovation categories, and also Family Game of the Year and Console Game of the Year. Media Molecule's new IP was released late in October last year, and went down as the best critically received PS3 exclusives, and one of the best selling PS3 titles of the year.
Dead Space, Fallout 3, Mirror's Edge, and Burnout Paradise were other PS3 games that brought up the vanguard, winning awards for Best Action Game, Best RPG, Best Adventure Game, and Best Racing Game, respectively. |
