Capcom announced Lost Planet 2 earlier today via the XBox Live Marketplace.  If you missed it, check here, the trailer looks so good, it will even turn the heads of Lost Planet haters.  And while the trailer was great, it not only showed off the game, but also preempted a lot of questions fans had of the title, it lacked a lot of other information - when will the game be out?  Which platforms will it be available on?

In the increasinly popular fashion of announcing an announcement, Capcom sent us an e-mail earlier saying that the official press release for the title will be due out Wednesday and a few more details may just slip out in it.  PlayStation owners especially should keep an ear out - it's likely to be revealed whether or not the game will be coming to the PS3 then as well.

Lost Planet is a third person shooter developed by Capcom.  The title is available now.
