We don't have to keep reminding you that Sony's PS3 is in some trouble with sales lately. The PS3 is a very high price when you look at the economic troubles the world is going through right now and obviously Sony was not expecting it. We do bring new light to the news coming out of EA which happens to be having some money troubles too, but they had some kind words for Sony. EA's Redwood Shores Exec Glen Schloefield told gameindustry.biz that he hopes Sony will make it through in such tough times.
"I'm really not sure what's going on with Sony," he said. "They've been such a great, great partner and PlayStation 2 being such a great machine that, God, I hope they get out of this and they figure it out and they're around for a long time."
While he didn't want to directly ask for a price drop on the console due to finances he did hint at one being needed. The words are obviously warming to Sony and the fans of PS3 but at the same time could be troubling. Is Sony in a bigger mess than we can see? I don't know but I'm with Glen on having 3 successful consoles on the market and hope Sony pulls through on this!
