Insomniac Games, the creative minds behind popular Sony titles including the adventure titles Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet and Clank, and the first person shooter Resistance franchise, have just been named one of the top 5 places to work in California. This makes the eigth 'best workplace' award Insomniac has won in the past 4 years, and has also ranked in the "Top 10 Small Businesses to Work for in America" for the 3 consecutive years.
On top of launching 2 games last year, Resistance 2 and Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty, the developer also opened a new branch in North Carolina. Calling last year a 'historic time' for the developer, Insoniac Games CEO Ted Price also commented "It's therefore especially gratifying to earn such praise for our work culture considering the volume of activity and change we experienced. When we factor in the multitude of innovative companies populating the state this honor becomes even more humbling and special."
In the press release, Insomniac also revealed they were working on yet another (unannounced) PS3 exclusive. Whether this is indeed a new Ratchet and Clank game, or perhaps an entirely new IP in the works at their new studio, is yet to be seen.
Congrats to Insomniac on the behalf of the PS3Center staff! |
