Developer 2K has made us very happy this morning. Why? There were rumors circulating that the next game in the accaimed Bioshock series would be an Xbox 360 exclusive and that Microsoft had been trying to secure the gmae as a timed exlusive.
The release date was TBA, which further fanned the flames of controversy.
However, 2K announced today that Bioshock 2 is a definite LOCK for the PS3, although there has been no word as of yet regarding whether or not it will be exclusive to Sony's next-gen console.
As has already been reported, this sequel introduces the female counter part to the much-feared Big Daddy, Big Sister. According to 2K they are faster and more maneuverable. 2K also hinted that the franchise could in fact grow to spawn another 5 games, so deep and complex is the over-arching story.
Exciting developments to be sure. This reviewer can't want to get his hands on it when it is released.
