A new sci-fi RPG is in the works by French developer Spider and is to be released on PS3 as well as PC at an unknown date. The game takes place 200 years after Mars has been colonized. Something bad happens up there as the orbit of the planet is altered and communications with Earth have been lost. Not only has that happened, but the living organisms on the planet have now been exposed with solar radiation. The game seems to have a Fallout in space feel.

There are two playable characters that are planned for the game. One is Seth. Seth is an elite soldier who has the ability to master a variety weapons to defeat his enemies. Pandora, on the other hand, is a character with some apparent "magical abilities". Both characters stories will intermingle which will give the story an interesting twist and plot line.

What is also interesting is, since solar radiation is in effect, it makes the daytime deadly, letting you use to sunlight as an advantage to fighting enemies.

For the most part, PS3 owners have no real selection of RPG games, so we shall see how Mars turns out. Hopefully this game will give the RPG players a good game to play over and over. Check out the game at mars.spiders-games.com/frontpage
