Two seperate batches of rumors hit the internet last week concerning BioShock 2, both claiming to be from an upcoming issue of Game Informer. Of course, this was the cause of some confusion as one set of rumors turned out to be completely false, while the other was taken directly from the magazine.
2K Games has officially debunked the rumor that BioShock 2 would feature co-op play. The latest post on their fan site, the Cult of Rapture, reads "I will let you know that there won’t be any spliced-up rhinos, Soviet invasions, or co-op, but you may very well see a Big Daddy or two". Tough luck if you were looking to lurk Rapture with a buddy, looks like the BioShock 2 campaign will be strictly a solo mission.
In other BioShock 2 news, it seems the subtitle, Sea of Dreams, has also been squashed by Take Two.
Bioshock 2 is a first person shooter developed by 2K Games. The highly anticipated title is due out in later this year, for the PS3, XBox 360, and PC. |
