Sony is asking fans to give them ideas about what they'd like in the collectors edition of God Of War 3. The survey takes only a few minutes to complete and the link to the original post on the PlayStation Blog, and direct link to the survey is posted below. You will need to login to a PlayStation Network account before you can take the survey. Upon completion of the survey you are rewarded with a HD God Of War 3 wallpaper.
One of the questions on the survey is asking whether you would like to see "God of War and God of War II on a Blu-ray disc" in the collector's edition. This suggests that Sony already has a PS2 emulator running on a non-backwards compatible PS3, because if they haven't, a lot of people won't even be able to play these two games on the PlayStation 3's. The wording of the question also mentions "on Blu-ray disc", so these games wouldn't work on a PS2 either. Which means if they don't have an emulator running on a non-backwards compatible PS3, then that disc becomes completely redundant and pointless.
