Katamari on the PS3, Forever in Autumn
Posted on April 30, 2009 by tonzie

As the PlayStation 3 grows in popularity, so does its list of games gone multi-plat. One game taking this leap in Q4 this year will be Katamari, in the form of Katamari Forever. Katamari is a quirky third person roll-em-up (Is that a genre? Yes, and you heard it here first!) that has the player roll a ball around which sticks to random objects, animals and people. As your ball grows, so does the size of things you're able to pick up, letting you eventually pick up entire citys, and so on and so forth. Sound crazy? not quite yet. You play the role of The Prince, who has been tasked with replacing all the stars after his father, The King of All Cosmos destroyed them on a binge drinking adventure. To do this, The Prince must stick his ball (singular) to any object that it can stick to in order to get enough matter to recreate the cosmos. Interesting, to say the least.

The PlayStation 3 version will contain a larger amount of stages, modes, graphic styles, and a larger soundtrack than the previous games, all while being visible in 1080p. The graphic styles are said to consist of wood, sepia and comic style to name a few, but we're sure there will be more, and with more comes more excitement!

The game will also contain both co-op and competetive local multiplayer, so that the task of receating the stars seems a little less daunting, and more easy to “roll over.”

Like what I did there? Look for this one this Autumn.
