The Official PlayStation Magazine has apparently confirmed that Lost Planet 2 will be hitting the PS3. The first game in the series had a period of timed exclusivity on the Xbox 360, so it is unknown whether the sequel will follow a similar route.

The article states: "...Capcom has since confusingly refused to confirm on the record what [platforms] Lost Planet 2 is coming out on. Whatever guy. We can tell you that it is definetly going to be released on PS3."

This is still a rumor at the moment, because we haven't received a scan of the article.
