According the Activision's official website, Guitar Hero 5 will see release on September 1, 2009
Customization is the watchword here as according to the website, you’ll be able to drop in and out of any tune and tweak band members, instruments and difficulty levels on the fly. As always there will be a mix of old and new tunes you can rock out to as well.
