If you've been decrying the lack of punk in today's musical sims, fear not, for there is hope!

According to Green Day front-man Billy Joe during a radio interview this morning. During the interview on KROQ 106.7 FM, an audience member asked when Green Day would appear on Rock Band. Joe simply replied: “Uh, yeah, we’re doing a whole Green Day Rock Band… uh.”

While this is not the most descriptive of quotes (meaning it could be DLC or something else) it is reasonable to assume, given the success of earlier iterations such as Aerosmith Rockband, that this would be a smart move and almost a given, considering the band's popularity

There is nothing official yet, but these band specific sims are a license to print money. After all, who wouldn't want to rock out to their favorite group while seeing if they can keep up?
