When NISA and Hitmaker announced the Last Rebellion earlier this year, many were put off by the unimpressive graphics shown.  The latest build of the game, shown off in a couple of new screens, shows some pretty huge leaps in the graphics engine since we last saw the game.  Last Rebellion features cell shaded graphics, similar to other Japanses RPGs, like Valkyria Chronicles or Eternal Sonata.  But why take my word for it?  Check 'em out below:

Last Rebellion is a dark themed RPG, featuring an action intensive battle system that lets you target specific body parts on the enemy.  The game is tentatively scheduled for a 2009 release.
