If your reading this, the chances are your somewhat interested in a Serious Sam game and own a PS3 console. The bad news, the next Serious Sam HD is not currently being developed for PS3. The good news, well read this quote from the devs in an interview with G4.
"We did plan for PSN at the start of Serious Sam HD development," said CEO Roman Ribaric
So your probably wondering what happened? Well Croteam is not a fan of bad ports and wanted a team to work just for the PS3 version and have it out on the same date as the 360 and PC counterparts. When that was no longer possible (Due to financial and time restriction problems) they decided to dump the idea of a PS3 version all together. However he did add that the chances of the game finally hitting PSN is still possible.
"We [have considered] doing PSN after we finish PC and XBLA," he said. "However, we keep hearing over and over from publishers, investors, marketing and other suits that players from one console, in this case PSN, wouldn't want to get it later, let's say eight months and seven days after, if it's released sooner on the other console, here that would be XBLA. I would normally say that's a lot of bull, but I will refrain here from my comment. What do your readers think?"
There you have, the developers themselves are asking you (the PS3 gamers) if you want to see their game on your network. Yes it may be later than the others, but better late then never right? Maybe we can talk them into throwing some bonus content our way, extra level or two, or something of that nature?
"It would feel perfect to have it on PSN as well"
Serious Sam 3 and the Serious Engine are both still in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360, but lets try to get an early shot of Serious Sam by bringing Serious Sam HD to PSN! We of course have Punisher and Battlefield to fill the gap anyways....
