Turns out that even the Helghast need a breather from time to time. Seb Downie, has revealed that Guerrilla Games is taking a break from the Killzone franchise after just releasing even MORE DLC inf the form of the Napalm & Cordite Pack. With the critical and sales success of Killzone 2, could it be that GG wants to expand its IP and horizons? Seb had this to say on the EU PlayStation Blog:
“Right now we’re going to take a step back from Killzone 2”. He added: “We’ve been working non-stop since the disc version was released on patches, DLC and killzone.com updates, so need some time to reflect on what is actually out there.”
Take this for what you will, but it does seem to say that fans will have to wait a bit for new Killzone content. Ultimately, this will be good for the franchise as it allows the developer to work on other projects they may find interesting and come back to the IP that made them famous with new eyes and a clear mind. |
