Just when you thought things couldn't get better for our beloved black behemoth, with Batman coming out at the end of the month and a whole slew of amazing looking titles scheduled for the holiday season now we have something else to write about. Publisher Electronic Arts has recently revealed industry revenue numbers for the fiscal quarter that recently ended June 30, 2009.
The Xbox 360 managed a paltry 73 million during this period, while the PlayStation 3 turned in $121 million for the company. What's even more amazing is that Sony's PlayStation Portable solidly whipped the Nintendo DS, which turned into 28 million in revenue compared with PlayStation Portable's 38 million. Now that is something to sing about!
Worldwide electronic arts also revealed unsurprisingly that North American is the most profitable region for the firm generating $343 million followed by Europe and Asia with $258 million and $43 million respectively.
