TGS PSP and PSN News Wrap Up
Posted on September 24, 2009 by Dustin S.

Sony finally wrapped up their conference with a couple interesting details to leave our mout watering. Other than the March 2010 date for Gran Turismo, there were plenty announcements regarding the PSP. Most of it targets the Japan region as of right now, but expect it to spread to other regions soon.

- A new service title "Room" (the "oo" is actually an infinity) is similar to the likes of Home on PS3. Instead its all about blogging with others and creating your own little unique avatar for community use. The service will be rolling out in beta form soon so we will keep you updated on any chances to get in.

-There is a ton of connectivity for Gran Turismo on PSP and PS3. Things like exporting movies from PS3 to PSP, unlocking a majority of the GT5 car collection before the game ever releases, and of course taking your collection with you on the go.

-PSP Go will have over 700 games on the PlayStation Network on launch. In Japan a selected 14 games will have a offer to have one game for free to early adopters in Japan.

-While PSP Go saw no price change, the PSP 3000 has a slight price cut in Japan to around $150 USD.

Now for PlayStation Network news.

-The PlayStation Network will support Digital Comics by December, this was referencing Manga but we expect to see comics hit state side in the same timeframe if not sooner.

-Over 3 million PSN users this year, not a bad number to be touting!

-Japanese PSN will be getting stronger video support, along with the European regions.

That about wraps up the conference regarding the PSP and PSN, there were other tidbits as well. Stick around as we continue to cover TGS!
