Anonymous sources have allegedly confirmed that Sony has cut half the workforce at Idol Minds, the developer behind PSN title, PAIN. The studio had around 50 workers originally, so we could unfortunately see up to 25 people losing their jobs.
The layoffs have apparently come due to budget cuts at Sony, although Sony has refused to confirm any of this information.
Idol Minds has been around for 11 years, and previously worked on PS2 games including Coolboarders 3, 4, and 2001, as well as the PS1 game Rally Cross 2. Idol Minds' website says the company has sold over 5 million units. |
