Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising hit shelves across the world earlier this month.  Dragon Rising is often held up as a foil to Infinity Ward's upcoming Modern Warfare 2 - where as one is a slow and tactical affair, the other has a reputation of being a 'twitch' shooter.

The comparisons have made it all the way back to Codemaster's studio in the UK.  In a recent interview, Dragon Rising executive producer Sion Lenton touched on these comparisons, setting the record straight on what he thinks of both games.

"The very nature of [Modern Warfare 2], and I mean this in the nicest possible way, is a hyped event. It's kind of like the Michael Bay of videogames. Its budget, its sales, all these kind of things - it is a huge game." Lenton said, before comparing both titles. "I really see Modern Warfare 2 as Hollywood and we're the Cannes, the arty documentary - dare I say the reportage-style thing."

Lenton certainly isn't taking anything away from Modern Warfare 2, though.  " ...[Modern Warfare] is a great game. I'll be buying it, I'll be playing it and I'm sure you will as well".  Lenton is confident that there is enough room in the market for both games, calling them "two very different creatures". 

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising 2 is available now, and Modern Warfare 2 is due on November 10, both for the PS3 and XBox 360.
