You might have heard that this time around in Assassins Creed 2 you won't become an assassin from the very beginning (which is not much different than when Altair was thrown out then re-admitted,) and as you know, you will be playing Ezio Auditore Da Firenze, a young man on quest for revenge.

As explained in this dev video diary, Ezio's moves, weapons and gear will be available to him as he evolves in the game - again, much like the first game only that this time he will also evolve in character.

Though it seemed that the main focus of the video was how this would help the game be less repetetive. Lets at least agree that they are well aware of the main issue with the first installment of the series.

The video showcases a great looking game, and there doesn't seem to be a reason not to get this game, so have a look and decide for yourself.
