There was a video floating around the internet earlier today that mentioned a track editor in the upcoming Gran Turismo 5. The video needs to be translated and only had rough translation available elsewhere, so nobody was really sure about it being true or not.

Well E4G has taken the time to email Polyphony to get a confirmation and has gotten this response.

“Yes it will have a track editor. You will be able to rebuild a track from scratch or edit the tracks that are already put in Gran Turismo 5.”

We will still try to contact Polyphony to get our own confirmation however. If it is true then by all means let's have a massive PlayStation 3 party! Gran Turismo 5 cannot possibly get any better now. A worldwide release date is still yet to be announced, so stick around for more information!

 Update: Seems to be issues with E4G, so we will be awaiting our own confirmation before calling this rumor confirmed. Sorry folks.
