Konami has just released their financial results for their second quarter of FY2010, and consolidated the results to the first half of the year, which runs from April to September 2009.
Last year the PS3 accounted for 38% of Konami's sales, obviously due to Metal Gear Solid 4, this year however, the PS3 accounted for only 15% of game sales trailing behind the Wii at 23%. The PSP (22%), DS (21%), and PS2 (14%) followed accordingly, and the Xbox 360 accounted for 5% of sales. Despite this, Sony still managed to account for 51% of Konami's sales.
Japan continued to be Konami's highest sales territory with 2.75 million game sales, followed by Europe with 1.72 million, and America with 1.32 million. In addition, Soccer games continued to be the most popular games, with Konami shifting 1.25 million units in the first half of this year.

The Metal Gear franchise also managed to shift 360,000 more copies in the first half of FY2010.
Net revenues decreased year over year, from 93 billion yen, to 51.4 billion yen. Operating income also decreased from 26.3 to 4.5 billion yen.
One interesting thing to note is that Metal Gear Rising, continues to hold the release date of "TBD," so I wouldn't expect it any time in this fiscal year. |
