Before there was Call of Duty or Halo, Electronic Art's Medal of Honor was largely synonymous  with the first person shooter genre.  Since then, the franchise has fallen off the charts.  Airborne failed to leave much of an impression, when it hit late in 2007.

However, EA hasn't forgotten about their beloved IP.  During their Q2 fiscal report, EA announced that the Medal of Honor franchise would see a full revival in the coming months.  They spoke a lot about the face lift the Need for Speed franchise received with Shift, and said the Medal of Honor franchise would be getting a similar treatment. 

EA said to expect more on the title during their February conference call.
