Earlier today, EA announced a demo for their upcoming action game, Dante's Inferno, will hit digital shelves next month. The demo feature's the first level of Dante's Inferno, tracking Dante from the surface all the way to the Gates of Hell, where he first gains possession of Death's Sythe.
"Our main goal from the start of this project has been to create a journey that will make gamers truly feel like they are going through hell," said executive producer Jonathan Knight. "The demo will give everyone some insight into how we are treating the story and a taste of the gameplay. And with nine more circles of hell to explore once the game comes out in February, we are literally just scratching the surface."
Despite presenting a rather unoriginal take on the tried but true God of War formula, Dante's Inferno is shaping up to a rather solid title. Critics were dogging Dead Space as being 'Resident Evil in outer space' right up until it's release, when it promptly extablished itself as a contender in the survival horror genre. Set for launch on February 9, 2010, we've only got a few months left to see if Visceral can shut critics down again. |
