Lots of news regarding Modern Warfare 2. We know that UK sales have been better than expected, with 1.23 million units sold. But we now know that the combined first-day sales of Modern Warfare 2 in the UK and North America are estimated at $310 million (USD). Activision claims Modern Warfare 2 is the biggest launch in history across all forms of entertainment. It’s estimated that 4.7 million copies were sold in the first day across the UK and North America.

Besides this good news, we've also heard that DLC is coming, thanks to MTV's disucssion with Infinity Ward's Rob Bowling, answering concerns that this may be the last Modern Warfare game, stating that the DLC must come first before a sequel:

“It doesn’t mean this is the end, but right now, you know, we’re continuing the story and we’re concluding some storylines, but anything’s possible.”
