Kane & Lynch is a rather well known brand amongst gamers, but it's isn't because the game was some blockbuster smash hit. Rather, it's because of Kane & Lynch that we have one of the best gaming sites out there, Giant Bomb.
Nontheless, the game did well enough to warrant a sequel, and that's exactly what Squenix is giving us. Rumors speculating the game was in the works have been around for a while, but now it's official! Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days continues the story of the disturbingly vulgar criminals Kane and Lynch. Sporting a new visual style influenced by "documentary filmmakers and the user-generated era", Dog Days will follow Kane and Lynchs latest antics, taking them through the seedy underworld of Shanghai.
"Gamers are always looking for something new and that is exactly what they are going to get with Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days," said Niels Jørgensen, general manager of IO Interactive. "A special thanks to gamers worldwide for their feedback. They are certainly in for a shock as we, with immense pride, welcome back our two dear, violent and somewhat unfortunate friends."
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is due in 2010, for PS3, 360, and PC. I'm looking forward to the Giant Bomb review - popcorn and POW block, anyone?
