Capcom has confirmed that its forthcoming Resident Evil 5 downloadable content will be receiving a physical release after all, under the moniker of RE5: Gold Edition.

Originally due in 2010, this new version puts the game, all current dlc, costumes, Mercenaries Reunion mode and two new episodes on blu-ray. And, at, $50, I think I'll be picking this up as for the content it is actually a good price.

Of course, you can also choose to download what you want individually, great for those with the original game. The first DLC, titled Lost in NIghtmares, as well as the ever so cleverly named Costume Pack 1, are scheduled for a February 18th release on the PSN. The next (as yet unnamed) dlc and costume pack will be up March 4.
