Kyle Ward was previously meant to be writing the script for the film, but it seems Sony let him go because they couldn't wait for him to write up a draft. Kyle, who is busy with the Hitman 2 movie script, has now been replaced by two new writers.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune seems to be a high priority project for Sony and producer Avi Arad which is good news for fans. So it looks like the studio is going to hire the Conan reboot screenwriters Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer to write the screenplay.
The duo are most well known for a 2005 movie starring Salma Hayek, Sahara.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is set to hit theaters at some point in 2011. |
