Earlier this summer, investors hounded Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada on the status of The Last Remnant for the PS3.  While careful to avoid confirming it out right, Wada did mention that it made little business sense to pursue a property that was already a financial failure, putting the dampers on hopes that the title would eventually make a PS3 appearance.

It looks like the company has officially pulled the plug on the port, though, after the latest issue of their promotional publication made no mention of the title.  The title had previously been listed as TBA, but is now absent entirely.

Considering it's been over a year since the XBox 360 release, I hardly doubt this news comes as a shock to anyone.  I think all eyes now are firmly on Final Fantasy XIII, which hits Japan in less than a month and the US/Europe in March.
