SixthSense Technology

As you probably missed, a recent event in India (known as TED) has recently shown a lot of interesting new tech that will later become available in the future, however there was something that I honestly believe will put a lot of companies out of business, mostly watch manufactures, simply because this piece of hardware showcases a lot of interesting tech, that is already available to us and well... just check out the video.

Found HERE.

(Assuming you watched the 15minute long video) Doesn't that just blow your mind, that Pattie Maes' lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav Mistry, showcased a wearable device with a projector that paves the way for profound interaction with our environment. Imagine "Minority Report" and then some.

And best yet the Source Code for this, as well as instructions on how to make your own apps and how to create your own device, will be made free to the public within a month from now. Allowing everyone to do, what was ultimately deemed only a dream a few years ago.

"Rather than waiting for that time to come, I want people to make their own system. Why not?," Mistry says in an article on Rediff Business. "People will be able to make their own hardware. I will give them instructions how to make it. And also provide them key software...give them basic key software layers...they will be able to build their own applications. They will be able to modify base level and do anything".

Makers, start your engines.
