The PSPgo launched earlier this fall. Clocking in at $250, the Go sacrifices the UMD slot for a slimmer, chic look, making it the perfect 'on the run' video game system. Well, unless you wanted to play your massive collection of UMDs.
Rumor has it, though, that 3rd party accesory manufacturer Logitech is working on an add on that will allow you to play your UMDs on the Go. The peripheral would likely connect to the Go through the memory stick port on the side. Outside of that, CVG wasn't able to report any specifics, like price or release date.
This seems like an odd choice to me - if you wanted to play UMDs, wouldn't you have picked up a PSP-3000 in the first place? Not to mention, this add on must essentially eliminate the bullet point feature of the Go - it's portability. The PSPgo has flaundered in the marketplace thus far, so I guess anythings possible. |
