Insomniac opened a new studio in North Carolina earlier this year, with the intention of growing the studio, but mantaining that small company feel.  The North Carolina branch operates autonmously from the main arm at Burbank, "working on games and not doing anything like outsourcing or creating props for Burbank... They will be making triple-A titles", according to Insomniac CEO Ted Price.

And while the new branch has been pretty quiet in terms of what exactly it's been up, what ever that is, it's apparently pretty 'cool'.  Community Manager James Stevenson just recently visited North Carolina studio, teasing that he was "Looking at a lot of cool new stuff!"

As a big fan of Insomniac's PS3 titles so far, I can only hope that we find out what they're working on soon!
