Heavy Rain DLC Possibly Announced
Posted on December 18, 2009 by Dustin S.

Heavy Rain is due out early next year and if all the cool trailers and info wasn't enough to make you pre-order, maybe this is. According to Sony if you pre-order Heavy Rain you will get the first episode of Heavy Rain Chronicles for free on launch day. They also stated it will only be availible on launch to pre-orders, will arrive at a later date for everyone else.

The interesting part about this story is what the Chronicles are. According to the description its the download content we have been wanting to hear about. Straight  from the PlayStation Blog :

"What exactly are The Heavy Rain Chronicles? Each Chronicle will offer unique, stand-alone, playable short stories featuring one of Heavy Rain’s main characters, and a storyline taking place either before or after Heavy Rain’s original narrative. Similar to Heavy Rain, each episode will offer a unique journey and different outcomes based on the players’ decisions and actions."

Thats nifty! The first episode, Heavy Rain Chronicle 1- The Taxidermist, is based around the character Madison Page. She is on her first case tracking down a serial killer. The name sounds familar because its the same level that was shown off at game conventions earlier this year, just expanded upon.

Both US and Canada is involded, no word on over the seas however. You can pre-order at Amazon, Gamestop, Gamecrazy for the US to get the content. In Canada you can go to Gamestop, Bestbuy, Futureshop, or Amazon.

Thanks PlayStation Blog
