Over the past two years, Criterion has been very busy with Burnout Paradise. Despite the game hitting way back in January 2008, the UK-based dev has churned out several paid and free DLC add ons, radically changing the way the game is played.
It looks like they'll finally be making some substantial headway on a new title in 2010, though. Teasing from their Twitter account, Criterion wrote "2010 will satisfy our increasing desire for travelling at a rate of high velocity....or words to that effect...".
While that obviously (and unfortunately) doesn't give much hope to the oft-rumored Black sequel, Criterion is slated to take a whack at EA's acclaimed Need For Speed franchise. Criterion's take on the multi-million selling franchise is sure to be unique, but I'm hoping it's not just Burnout reskinned.
Expect an official announcement soon. |
