Today Uncharted 2 will receive a new patch apparently dedicated to address one big issue. Patch 1.04 will try fixing the very rare "error syncing player date" that has affected a few players. Unfortunately for all the ones affected by this glitch, the fix with come with a heavy price to pay. All multiplayer stats will be reseted upon fixing the glitch.

"This is going to happen ONLY to the accounts who couldn't connect because of the "error syncing player data" message. Everyone else who has been able to connect and play normally will be entirely unaffected," Naughty Dog's Arne Myer said. With that said there will be few of those who put their heart at achieving excellence in the multiplayer. "This was not an easy decision for us to make. Over time it became clear to us that there was absolutely no other option remaining to eliminate this issue for all affected," Myer said.

If you happen to be one of the affected by this glitch, know that this was the only way of solving the problem. Naughty Dog would never strip someone from their online bragging rights are they, much like most studios, know how valuable that is to a gamer.
