In a startling announcement made earlier today, Harmonix revealed that pop sensation Lady Gaga will be arriving to Rock Band next week. 

Lady Gaga is joins over 400 other artists on MTV's popular music platform.  The first DLC pack, set to launch next week on all three home consoles, will feature four of Gaga's hit songs - Bad Romance, Poker Face, Just Dance and Monster.  The parody version of Poker Face sung by South Park's Cartman will also be available for download as well.

This announcement definitely comes straight out of left field.  With Rock Band's dominance over the rock genre, though, it was only a matter of time until they started broadening their horizons - much as Activision did with 2009's Band Hero.  With the music genre tanking so badly, this will at least give MTV and Harmonix a slight boost in sales.
