The Entertainment Software Ratings Board has today re-rated Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PlayStation 3, confirming that the PS2 classics will be hitting the console.
Unlike other PS2 re-releases, it seems though that these will simply be released as is, most likely as a PS2 classic download through the PlayStation Network, without any significant upgrades. The main reason for this assumption is that the software has simply been re-rated for the PS3, and no additional information has been added. It's also very unlikely that the games will come as part of a "collection" because both games were rated separately, rather than under a Grand Theft Auto Collection-like title.
A selection of PS2 SpongeBob SquarePants games were also re-rated for the PS3. |
