The Darkness 2 is out this week, it looks like a fantastic game, and I, like many others are highly anticipating it. The best thing about the original The Darkness game and comics was the "Darkness" it self, which was voiced and designed spectacularly. We're not 100% certain, but it looks like the artists of the original comics may have taken inspiration from the following creature:

The image above shows a Black Dragonfish, a very long and thin fish that lives in water around 2000 feet deep. The fish are bio-luminescent, meaning they can create their own light, which is needed in deep waters. Definitely looks incredibly similar to The Darkness don't you think?
