In a short comment at the Berlin IFA 2012, Europe's biggest consumer electronics shows, Kazuo Hirai, Sony CEO and President, has addressed concerns that people may have with the Vita's flagging sales. Many analysts have argued that there is no more place for a dedicated gaming handheld, because the iPhone and Android phones have eaten a lot of the market share.
Kaz Hirai said: "Worldwide, the Vita is pretty much along where we would expect it to be, maybe trending behind in certain territories."
No information was given on which territories were cause for concern, but it seems like Sony does have a plan for this device, and the company doesn't seem to be too worried that sales are a little slow. No doubt we'll see a boost in sales when the holiday titles hit.
