Sony has revealed following the price drop of the 60GB PS3, an 80GB PS3 model which will launch with a free copy of Motorstorm for $599.

The release of the 80GB PS3 is set to try and take a huge chunk out of sales this holiday season when the PS3 is finally set to get some big guns in terms of software with killer apps such as Metal Gear Solid 4 releasing on the platform.

The 80GB PS3 will take over the $599 price point which is now vacant after Sony dropped the price of the 60GB PS3 model to $499. The $599 80GB PS3 will have a nice deal as Motorstorm, the killer app racing game for the PS3, will be bundled in with the 80GB model as a free pack-in game.

We will have more news on this as it breaks but it seems that Sony has not only dropped the price of its high-end PS3, but has also announced a brand new PS3 model with bigger hard drive before E3 even begins!
