Reports are stating that BioShock may be headed to the PS3 shortly after it releases on the Xbox 360 and PC platforms.

One of the developers of BioShock spoke to GamePro in an interview and gave some insight into the future of the game. He stated tha they are focused on the Xbox 360 release right now as well as the release on the PC.

He did not however deny that there is the possibility that BioShock could make its way onto the PS3.

The likely scenario probably rests on how well BioShock does in terms of console sales on the Xbox 360. If it performs well at retail then it will be very likely that the game will be released on the PS3 as well, possibly even before the Christmas season is over.

If it does not perform that well in retail on the Xbox 360 though then expect the PS3 rumors to die quickly, no matter how much critics and hardcore gamers love the game when it launches in a few weeks.
